Cambridge Science Park

Started in 1970 on land owned by Trinity College. Premises for over 60 science-based companies and has recently opened an innovation centre. Key companies include: Toshiba Research, Plastic Logic and Philips.

St John’s Innovation Centre

Started in 1987 on land owned by St John’s College. The centre provides business support and accommodation for around 60 early stage knowledge based companies plus 200 virtual tenants. St John’s Innovation Centre is one of EEDA’s Enterprise Hubs.

Cambridge Research Park

112-acre R&D and office park 5 miles north of Cambridge.

Babraham Bio-Incubator

Started in 1998 and providing combined office and laboratory space for around 30 start-up and early stage bioscience ventures and is situated about 5 miles south-east of Cambridge. Babraham is one of EEDA’s Enterprise Hubs.

Melbourn Science Park

Owned by The Technology Partnership Group. Accommodates companies from a wide range of sectors situated 9 miles south of Cambridge.

Granta Science Park

Opened in 1998, the Park is already home to leading biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies including MedImmune, PPD and Gilead, and also to Europe's largest independent research and technology organisation specialising in materials and joining - TWI.

The Genome Campus

The Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute is a genome research centre set up in 1992 by the Wellcome Trust and the Medical Research Council in order to further our knowledge of genomes, and in particular to play a substantial role in the sequencing and interpretation of the human genome. This information will underpin research on human biology and disease in this century and beyond.
