About The Research Group

Introduction to the group

The Research Group is the central research and information section of the County Council and uses a variety of information about the people and economy of Cambridgeshire in order to help plan services for the county.

Working closely with both internal and external bodies the Research Group disseminates local information through mediums such as the Cambridgeshire Observatory website (www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/observatory).

In addition to providing services internally for the County Council The Research Group produces reports on economic and demographic topics, carries out surveys and provides advice on research methods which are all available to outside agencies and individuals.

Further to this the group can be commissioned to run context specific reports on subjects including local business and census returns.
