The Research Group also held a Seminar on Ethnicity in Cambridgeshire - the notes from which can be found below. The 2001 Census was the second national census to provide information about the ethnic composition of the country. This presentation outlines what the Census tells us about ethnic diversity in Cambridgeshire and how other factors, such as health and socio-economic position, may vary between different ethnic groups. While national censuses remain the best source of information about ethnicity, the presentation also touches on some of the problems associated with measuring ethnicity and using ethnic groups data from the 2001 Census.
