The Council does not operate any preferred provider or approved supplier lists. Pre selection processes to identify suitably qualified providers form part of any tender process, and tenders are advertised on the Source Cambridgeshire portal - see link on the right hand side of this page.
We are committed to delivering Efficiency Gains that can be redirected to improve the front line services we provide. Procurement will play a role in achieving those gains.
Please see the Source Cambridgeshire link on the right hand side of this page which contains adverts for all opportunities over a certain threshold, not just for Cambridgeshire County Council but some other public sector bodies within Cambridgeshire as well.
In order to make the best use of Source Cambridgeshire, suppliers are recommended to register and then create alerts which are of interest, so that when an opportunity is advertised they are automatically emailed an alert. Further guidance on how to register and create alerts can be found in the document at the bottom of this page.
Contract Register
A key component of the government's transparency agenda is for councils to publish their contract documents. Cambridgeshire County Council is committed to supporting this legislation which became law in January 2011.
A key enabler in allowing us to meet this requirement is an up-to-date and functioning contract register. To aid transparency we publish contractual obligations that are valued over £30,000 in total on a monthly basis.
