Beacon authority
Extras

The Beacon Scheme was set up by the Department for Communities & Local Government, formerly the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) and the Improvement & Development Agency (I&DeA).

The scheme is designed to enable the dissemination of best practice in service delivery across local government.

Cambridgeshire County Council achieved Beacon status in procurement following a lengthy evaluation process which required evidencing excellent customer service, within a culture of partnering and collaboration, with a focus on efficiency and continuous improvement.

To apply for Beacon status, a link to round 8 is available on the right of this page.
