We are getting an increasing number of complaints from businesses who feel that they have been “scammed” or “ripped off” by other so called ‘businesses’. This is often (but not exclusively) where
invoices are sent that are:

for advertising in publications that was not requested or which they claim a member of your staff agreed to when actually they did not,

for advertising in a publication that you are told will be circulated to a certain audience eg. government bodies or emergency services, but turns out not to be,
-
for advertising in a publication that you are told will be produced for charity, but does not appear to be produced.
