Northstowe's Primary and Secondary Schools

The Council plans to open Northstowe’s first primary school with 60 pupils aged 4 to 11. The school will then grow in size to cater for 420 pupils.  The primary school will be run by Diocese of Ely Board of Education.

A copy of their proposal is available below.

The Council will open the town’s secondary school for 600 pupils initially. It will grow to cater for 1,650 pupils.  The secondary school will be run by Cambridge Meridian Educational Trust.

A copy of their proposal is available below.

The primary school is the first of six, which the Council plans to provide, to cater for the children of families moving into the new homes. There will be just one secondary school, catering for the 11 to 16 age range.  Plans are being developed in partnership with the local Learning and Skills Council (LSC) for post-16 provision on an adjacent site.
