Since 2006, Cambridgeshire have produced two Children and Young People Plans, namely, The Big Plan (2006-2009) and The Big Plan2 (2009 - 2012), these can still be viewed below.
Cambridgeshire Children's Trust Plan 2011/12
In April 2011 the Cambridgeshire Children's Trust agreed to replace the Big Plan2 with a high level strategic plan for 2011/12. The overarching aim of the Children's Trust is to reduce inequality in outcomes for all children and young people in Cambridgeshire. The key priorities for 2011-14 are:
- To improve outcomes for every child and young person through accessible and high quality service provision
- To narrow the gap in education and health outcomes for vulnerable children and young people
- To keep children and young people safe
- To support change to achieve benefits for children and young people
These priorities result from the work undertaken to understand needs across Cambridgeshire, including the Joint Strategic Needs Assessment, the review of the Big Plan 2, the annual report of the Local Safeguarding Children Board and agreed by the Trust Board partner organisations. The Children's Trust Plan can be accessed below.
Review of The Big Plan 2 first year 2010
In April 2010, the Children's Trust undertook a review of the first year of Big Plan 2.
Its findings are recorded in this report (Big Plan2 Review) and work is currently underway to update the year 2 action plans.
