The Children and Young People's Services  plan

The Children and Young People’s Plan (CYPP) (renamed The Big Plan after consultation with Cambridgeshire children) sets the strategic direction of travel for services to children and young people in Cambridgeshire.

The Plan states the overall vision for local services and the standards, which govern that vision: quality, participations, inclusions, reducing inequalities and raising achievement).

The Plan contains an assessment of the current needs of Cambridgeshire's children and young people based on:

  • data
  • views of children, young people, parents and carers
  • view of practitioners

It details priority actions in relation to the five key outcome areas.

  • be healthy
  • stay safe
  • enjoy and achieve
  • make positive contributions
  • achieve economic well-being

Finally the Plan makes clear how those actions will be delivered.

The Big Plan, which covers the period 2007-08 is available on the right hand side.  The 2008-9 update is also linked from there too.

A summary of the the big plan is also available on the right hand side.

The Little Big Plan is a children and young people's version of the The Big Plan (available on the right hand side). This Plan shows how the priorities meet the concerns of children and young people.
