CamPlay Saturday clubs are for children and young people aged 6-19 years with a moderate or severe, physical or learning disability.
The CamPlay service aims to provide a fun, stimulating, child-centred, safe environment for the children to play and socialise. This is important for their social, intellectual, emotional and physical development.
At CamPlay we have an enthusiastic, motivated and caring team who can make a difference to the lives of children and young people with a disability whilst promoting independence and developing new skills through fun and play.
Each individual Saturday club is focused around the needs and preferences of the attending children and young people. We regularly join together with other clubs for group activities and social interaction. CamPlay accesses monthly sessions at trampolining, an adventure playground and a soft play area. Our clubs also arrange trips to bowling, swimming, library, cinema and many other community activities.
CamPlay Saturday clubs run from 10am – 1pm at these venues:
- Scaldgate Youth and Community Centre, Whittlesey
- King Edward Centre, Chatteris
- Elm Children and Families Centre, Elm, Wisbech
- St Peters Church, March
- Larkfield Day Centre, Ely
The Whittlesey, Chatteris and Ely venues are Ofsted registered whereas the Wisbech and March venues are on the voluntary register. At present this means that the Wisbech and March Saturday clubs are only able to take children and young people from 8-19 years.
