Disabled children and young people
Extras

What do we mean by disabled ...

We use “disabled” as a broad term to cover children and young people who need extra support, long term or temporarily. This might be because they have:

  • a physical disability
  • a learning disability
  • sight and/or hearing problems
  • specific behaviour problems
  • some other disability condition needing treatment over a long period.
