Transition Information Advice - Secondary Transfers

Deciding which secondary school you would prefer your child to attend is a very important decision, but the system can be confusing. If your child is in Year 6, you will have received information from the Admissions Team about transferring to secondary school. The Transition Information Adviser can offer parents information and advice to ensure they have a full understanding of the admissions process and transfer to secondary school including:

  • How the admissions process works
  • Information about schools
  • Admission policies and criteria for different schools
  • Travel issues
  • What happens if parents don’t get their preferred choice (appeals)

The Transition Information Adviser will be attending information sessions and talks across Cambridgeshire providing families with information and support about the secondary school admissions transfer system. Dates for these events will be advertised on these web pages and further information will also be available from your school. Alternatively, please contact the Transition Information Adviser using the details in the column on the right.
