Not all index records are as yet on computer. From each search page you will find a link that takes you to a full listing of which records are included so far. The list is updated as new records are added.
Why not display all your hard work on one of our family tree scrolls - we have two designs available. To see more information just follow the link on the right - "Family Tree Scrolls".
Working with volunteers from the Family History Societies within Cambridgeshire the Cambridgeshire Registration Service is to allow access to index data for births, marriages and deaths over the internet.
Using the links on the left hand side you can now search through:
Birth Data
Marriage Data
Death Data
More records are constantly being added so why not bookmark this page to re-visit in the future.
If a search is successful you will be able to order and pay on-line, or choose to link straight to an application form ready to print and submit by post with the correct reference to the correct Registration Office.
The system will automatically print the address of the Registration Office currently holding that record.
Please also remember that no records for Peterborough will be included as they are now a separate Unitary Authority.
If the entry you require is not yet on the system you can still apply by downloading the following forms (in rtf format suitable for word documents) and sending them through to the correct Registration Office. Further instructions are available on the Certificates pages.
Birth certificate application form
Marriage certificate application form
Death certificate application form
Current events will be registered according to the Parish lists for Cambridge, Ely, March and Huntingdon. These lists can be accessed from the Cambridgeshire Registration Offices page link. Please note that from 4th February 2008 all completed Ely Registers are now held by, and certificates from, our March Registration Office.
Older details of Districts are available from the link to Genuki on the right hand side links.
Whilst records are being added it may be that your search will not be successful. You can still apply for a copy certificate by following the instructions on our certificate application page.
It will obviously take some time to index all the records across the County, volunteers are still needed so contact the webmaster here (not Cambs County Council) if interested in helping.
If you feel there may be an error in the database i.e. spelling of name(s) or multiple entries please let us know so we can investigate and rectify if necessary.
