The Gender Recognition Panel contains information and advice for transsexual people who wish to apply for gender recognition, including details of how and when you apply and application forms.
Once you have received your Gender Recognition Certificate, your new gender will be recognised in law, allowing you to enjoy all the rights appropriate to your gender, including getting a new birth certificate. There will be nothing on your certificate to indicate it was complied from information in the Gender Recognition Register.
