In most cases the clergy at the Church will arrange with the couple for Banns to be called to allow a marriage to take place.
Where the vicar requests that a Superintendent Registrar's Certificate is obtained then they should provide a letter stating as much for you to take to the Registration Officer.
At least one of the parties to the marriage must either live in the Parish where the marriage is to take place or be able to sign a legal document to state that is the usual place of worship of one or both of the parties to the marriage (ie that person appears on that Church's electoral roll).
The Registration Officer with whom you make your appointment(s) to give Notice of Marriage will will need to know the full name of the Church, the worship number, and if outside that District, the name of the Registration District in which the building is located. This information can be obtained from the minister with whom you are arranging your marriage.
