Cambridgeshire County Council is keen to explore possibilities of transferring assets to our communities. However, a request to consider transfer of assets needs to be supported by a comprehensive and robust business case that provides well considered and researched financial projections and an in-depth understanding of the benefits to communities and the public agency concerned.
Local authorities are developing processes by which requests for Asset Transfer can be progressed and assessed. Current Cambridgeshire County Council policy is listed on this page’s publications. Advice, support and information regarding possible funding streams are available from the Asset Transfer Unit. More locally, Citylife are are keen to hear from local community organisations who may have ideas about taking on assets.
