The Cambridgeshire Compact

A Compact is a countywide partnership agreement between statutory bodies and the voluntary and community sector designed to improve our relationships and provide a framework within which we can understand what to expect from each other.

The Cambridgeshire Compact provides:

  • a set of Undertakings that clarify roles and expectations;
  • an agreement to work towards 3-year funding cycles;
  • a recommended 12 weeks notice of changes;
  • an honest problem-solving environment;
  • a set of Good Practice Codes.

All statutory groups and organisations including Housing Associations, Parish Councils, and voluntary and community groups who support Compact values and principles can join a Compact.

The Cambridgeshire Compact Volunteering Code of Good Practice and the Community Groups Code of Good Practice are now finalised and are available to download from the link to the right.

The National Compact has been refreshed, with a new simplified format. This format combines the overarching National Compact agreement and the supporting five Codes of Good Practice into one unified document. For further information please use the link on the right to the Refreshed Compact.
