The Trading Standards Service's Education and Information Team works to make sure that consumer education services are provided to all sectors of Cambridgeshire's community, by working in partnership with the business community, schools, colleges and universities, voluntary and special needs groups.
The issues addressed by the team are wide-ranging covering all aspects of consumer rights and responsibilities and how the Trading Standards Service works to ensure a safe and fair trading environment in Cambridgeshire.
We organise local training events, site visits, workshops, talks and exhibitions and publish locally relevant materials tailored to the needs of individual client groups. Teaching packs are produced for schools that are linked to curriculum guidelines and are accompanied by notes for teachers.
A variety of posters and public information leaflets are also available.
Within Cambridgeshire Trading Standards, the Education Team will normally deliver workshops, issue teaching packs and materials, free of charge. Outside this area, or where commercial interests are involved, some services may involve a small charge.
