Introduction

Here you will find information about services which strengthen communities and make Cambridgeshire a safer place to live.

Community development

Promotes wellbeing and helps to build sustainable, active communities throughout the county.  The service includes voluntary and third sector and Compact Development, Huntingdon North Neighbourhood Management Partnership working with gypsies and travellers, and the Migrant Workers and Refugees and Asylum Seekers Network.

Community safety

This team improves cooperation between partner agencies in relation to community safety and aim to provide countywide leadership and guidance on new policies and projects relating to community safety and crime reduction.

Domestic Abuse Unit (DAU)

Aims to improve outcomes for all victims through partnership working. The unit links in with other bodies to ensure that the issue of domestic violence is high on the agenda of other agencies such as police, probation, social services and health service.

Drug and Alcohol Team (DAAT) 

Reduce the harm caused by drugs and alcohol.  Working in partnership with other agencies to tackle drug and alcohol related crime and disorder in local communities.

Fenland team

Accountable and responsible for improving the outcomes for Fenland residents by focusing on six key issues; community cohesion, education attainment and aspiration; economic development and enhanced employment prospects, health, fitness and sport, transport, and collaborative working

Neighbourhood panels  

Meetings held in local areas for members of the community to influence services.  By attending these meetings you can have your say on services provided by the county council, district councils, police and others.
