Community Safety Strategic board

The structure of the safer and stronger communities partnership has evolved from the existing community safety structure and retains a commitment to the statutory commitments in the Crime and Disorder Act 1998.

It is led by the Community Safety Strategic Board, which sets the overall strategic direction for the partnership. This is a temporary Board as funding arrangements and partnership structures are expected to change following the election of the Police and Crime Commissioner in November 2012.

The Board includes elected members from the county and district councils and representatives from the Constabulary, Police Authority, NHS, Fire and Rescue, Probation, and the Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs).

Meetings of the Community Safety Strategic Board are open to the public. You are welcome to attend if you have a question for the Board on matters concerning community safety but please telephone 01223 699 101 prior to attending so we can notify our reception staff that you are coming.

The minutes of previous meetings can be found below.
