The pages on your left introduce you to the 4th stage of a city centre wide traffic management scheme called the Cambridge Core Traffic Scheme.

We undertook a public consultation on the proposals in May / June 2005. A copy of the consultation leaflet (PDF 827KB) is available here.

The results of that consultation went to the Cambridge Traffic Management Area Joint Committee on the 17th October. An update on the decisions made at this meeting is available here (PDF 138KB).

Part of the proposals included the possible relocation of the long distance bus stops from Drummer Street to Victoria Avenue. In response to concerns raised during the consultation, councillors have asked for further investigation to be carried out into using Parkside as an alternative location. A consultation was carried out in November 2005 and the results of this reported to the Cambridge Traffic Management Area Joint Committee on the 16th January 2006.
