Cambridgeshire is made up of five districts, containing a total of 60 divisions. These are:
A total of 69 county councillors are elected to represent the people of Cambridgeshire county for four years at a time. It is a Conservative held Council and Councillor Nick Clarke is Leader of the Council.
The last election was held in 2009 and the next election will take place in 2013.

The services the Council provides are run by professional officers. It's their duty to carry out the policies of the council and provide a high standard of public service at all times.
The Council also works in partnership with other public services in the area, such as the Police and NHS, to provide a unified approach where needed.
