The Freedom of Information Act has created a new level of openness and transparency between the public and local government, and encourages engagement of the public in local democracy.
The Council wants the citizens of Cambridgeshire to have access to all the information they need in order that they can become involved in the Council's work.
Cambridgeshire County Council already makes a large amount of information available to its citizens. Information can be obtained through this website, leaflets and many other publications.
If you make a request under the Freedom of Information Act, we will tell you whether or not we hold that information and, subject to any exemptions which may apply, we aim to provide you with the information within 20 working days.
Click on the headings on the left-hand menu to find out more details on making requests, our performance in dealing with requests, copies of requests received and our responses, and our Publication Scheme.
