Complaint about a councillor or co-opted member

If you are unhappy about the way a councillor or co-opted member has behaved and you believe that he/she has breached the Council's Code of Conduct you can complain to the County Council. In the first instance you should contact the Director of Governance on 01223 699233 and he will advise you on the procedure for formalising your complaint.

The Council's Code of Conduct relating to councillors and co-opted members is included as part of the Council's Constitution which may be accessed via the link on the right hand side of this page.

National guidance on the Code of Conduct is available from the Standards Board for England whose website is also listed on the right of this page.
