County councillors

The County Council is a democratically elected body consisting of 69 councillors who are elected for a period of 4 years.  Councillors are often referred to as Members.

The Council's decision making process is based on a Council Leader and a Cabinet.  The current Leader is Councillor Nick Clarke.  Further information on councillors and the Council's Cabinet can be accessed from the links on the left.
