The Council's Cabinet Members

The Cabinet comprises the Leader of Council who is appointed annually by the Council and up to nine other members of Council. Cabinet members are appointed by the Leader of Council and each has a specific area of responsibility. The Cabinet is responsible for making recommendations to the Council on the Council's budget, the Council Tax and major service policies but then has the power to decide any issue which falls within the overall policy framework once it is agreed by the Council. Decisions to be taken at the monthly Cabinet meetings are set out in the Council's Forward Plan.
