The Chief Executive of Cambridgeshire County Council is Mark Lloyd.

The Chief Executive's Department supports the work of service departments by providing corporate and strategic leadership to the County Council.

The Department's work crosses the whole spectrum of the Council's policy making and service provision, with particular emphasis on:

• The development of a 'one organisation' approach
• Relationships with external partners
• Communications: both internal and external
• Linking management and political processes
• Monitoring and assessment of performance, including Best Value. 
• Development of a culture of continuous improvement.
