Leading Children and Young People's Services is Executive Director, Adrian Loades.
Children and Young People's Services was established on 1 April 2005, as part of the County Council's restructuring.
It includes services previously covered by the education and social services directorates and the Youth Offending, Connexions and Sure Start Services. Its wide range of functions and responsibilities is now delivered by four Directorates:
- Strategy and Commissioning
- Learning
- Children's Social Care
- Children's Enhanced and Preventative Services
In December 2011, Adrian additionally took on Adult Social Care. These pages will be updated soon to reflect the changes.
