Releasing Resources to Front Line Services
Improving the services we deliver continues to be the Council's key priority. Working efficiently will enable the Council to release resources to where they are most needed.
Over the next three years (to March 2008), the Council is expected to achieve annual efficiency gains of 2.5%. This will release resources to our frontline services such as education, transport and waste management.
We have provided information on our pages about how the Council intends to achieve this, and provide much needed additional resources to key services in the climate of growing budget pressures and increased demand for our services.
