The vision for ECSP is:
"Working together to improve quality of life in East Cambrigeshire".
The Community Strategy and Action Plan were launched on 27th May 2004 and are based on five strategic aims identified through extensive consultation with the local community. These five aims are:
- Provide affordable and appropriate housing and related infrastructure
- Improve transport and access
- Close the skills and education gap between and within different sections of the community
- Improve economic development
- Improve accessibility to services, especially for disadvantaged groups
Community Strategies last for a three year period. A new Sustainable Community Strategy is being prepared which will cover the period 2008-11 and will replace the existing Community Strategy.
