Huntingdonshire Strategic Partnership

As a result of two year's hard work, the Huntingdonshire Community Strategy was officially launched on November 2004.  The Community Strategy is a plan to achieve the partnership's long-term vision of Huntingdonshire as a place where future generations have a balanced and good quality of life and can enjoy:

  • Continued economic success
  • Opportunities for all
  • An environment that is protected and improved

While work on all parts of the Strategy moves ahead, the Board will focus its energy on making improvements in the five key priority areas of:

1 - Developing an accessibility strategy;

2 - Healthy homes for older people;

3 - Actively involving young people in the planning and delivery of services;

4 - Reducing anti-social behaviour;

5 - Preventative measures for a healthy life

Community Strategies last for a three year period. A new Sustainable Community Strategy is being prepared which will cover the period 2008-11 and will replace the existing Community Strategy.
