Introduction

Best Value is a process used to ensure that local authorities provide quality services in a cost effective way. It is driven by the need to be economic, efficient, and effective. The Best Value process has a simple methodology which is used when reviewing services, to ensure that effective outcomes are reached, and robust improvement plans put in place.

The links on the left hand side of this page take you to more information about the background to Best Value, its methodology, and how it is used in stages of a review.

For more information on the Council's Best Value Performance Indicators, and updates on how current Best Value Reviews are progressing, click on the 'Best Value Performance Plan' link on the right hand side of this page.
