Council Performance

The performance of the Council and its partners in Cambridgeshire was most recently measured by the Audit Commission in December 2009. You can find out more information about the assessments the Audit Commission performed using the Oneplace link on the right, but in the summary statement, the Audit Commission reported:

"The overall organisational assessment score for Cambridgeshire County Council is performing well. This is because it is improving most things that matter to local people. Many public services perform well. Effective action is taken to improve poorer services."

The Council also assesses its own performance internally. Every year, we produce an Annual Report to provide an overview of what was achieved in the previous year against our objectives and priorities. You can view the annual reports in the ‘Publications’ section below.

The performance of the Council is monitored by Cabinet using the regular Integrated Resources and Performance Report, which combines financial reporting with performance reporting. You can view the most recent copies of these reports using the link to the agendas, minutes and reports of committee meetings on the right.

Some parts of the Council are assessed by government inspectorates such as Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission. You can find links to these bodies on the right.

Cambridgeshire County Council is part of a partnership of public, private and voluntary sector organisations in Cambridgeshire called Cambridgeshire Together. You can find out more information about the work of Cambridgeshire Together using the 'Partnerships' link on the right.
