We have been recognised for achieving excellence with the charter mark award for the delivery of County Farms services 1996-2005 and a Beacon Council for asset management 2005-2006. The 2009-10 annual report can be found below.

The Strategy and Estates team includes RICS registered valuers to ensure the highest possible professional standards are maintained. Cambridgeshire County Council was assessed early in 2009 under the new comprehensive area assessment regime. The auditors gave the council a score of 3 (exceeds minimum requirements – performing well) for the key line of enquiry “Does the organisation manage its assets effectively to help deliver its strategic priorities and service needs?” a link to a review of their report issued in December 2009 can be found on the righthand side of this page.

Cambridgeshire County Council is seen as having an advanced approach to strategic asset management and is often consulted by other councils and organisations. Recently case studies outlining Cambridgeshire's approach have appeared in national reports such as
