The Joint Area Review (JAR) judges the outcomes for children and young people growing up in Cambridgeshire and evaluates how local services work together to contribute to their achievements, progress and well-being.
The JAR inspection process consists of a number of component parts, each designed to provide an insight into the provision of services for children and young people, which are used by the Inspectors during their investigations in Cambridgeshire.
They are:
- A self assessment by the Local Authority
- Examination of case files
- A neighbourhood study
- A questionnaire to 600 children and young people
- Examination of documents and files
The JAR Inspection Team completed their fieldwork visit to Cambridgeshire at the end of January, have published their report which is available on the right hand side.
