Learning centres

Library learning centres offer a complete package of information, advice and courses for anyone wishing to undertake learning at a pace that suits them. These are delivered in a friendly and informal environment.

Our free information and advice service will help you decide the right course, the right provider and how to progress to further learning and employment options.

Our wide range of courses can be studied in the Learning Centre, at home or even in the workplace. The courses available range from introductory 'tasters' through to full qualifications. We can offer courses designed to get you started with computers, email and the internet through to popular qualifications such as the European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL).

All library learning centres specialise in offering a complete Skills for Life package. We can help you check your skill level, support you as you work through any learning that will help you brush up on reading, writing or number skills and help you pass a National Certificate - all for free!

Business administration and customer service NVQs at level 2 and 3 are available. These qualifications are for people who are in employment and can provide evidence using real tasks to meet the unit requirements.

Please see the directory of learning centres on the left to find full details for your local centre.
