Online facilities in your community

Community Access Points are community or public buildings where computers, colour printers and scanners have been installed for the public to use free of charge.

Community Access Points (CAPs) have broadband connection to the Internet via the Cambridgeshire Community Network. CAPs are located across East Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire. Please see links for further information on location and access.

Library Learning Services can provide basic IT Tasters for beginners or short courses to improve existing skills.

We also recruit and support volunteers to provide basic IT training at these outreach locations. We can provide full IT training and support to those willing to help in their local area.  If you wish to volunteer or benefit from a short taster course at your nearest outreach location, please contact Nyree Scott, Outreach and Volunteer Co-ordinator.

Community Access Points have been set up in partnership with Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridgeshire Community Network, East Cambridgeshire District Council and Huntingdonshire District Council. The access points allow local people in rural areas of Cambridgeshire to access technology and digital services
