Family Learning activities help families enjoy learning and have fun together; and help parents or carers to keep up-to-date with their children’s learning.
Family Learning is for mums, dads, grandparents, carers and children to learn together.
ALL of the activities are free!
What can we do?
Learning through Play sessions are for pre-school children and their families.
Learning Together workshops and events enable families to learn skills together in areas such as arts and crafts, cookery, healthy eating and sports.
Family Skills for Life courses help parents support their children’s developing skills and can help both parents and children improve their maths and english skills.
- There are taster activities and longer courses – depending on your needs
- Activities are held in local community and school settings
- There are opportunities to work towards a national qualification
Benefits of family learning include:
- Sharing, developing skills and working together as a family
- Discovering how to support your child’s learning
- Meeting and making new friends
- Gaining a qualification
- Building your confidence to work with your children
