VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO HELP WITH ONLINE LEARNING SESSIONS
First time on-line IT taster sessions for the over 50s in Cambridgeshire Libraries are proving so successful that the organisers are looking for more volunteers to help run the courses.
The EngAGE sessions are delivered by Cambridgeshire County Council Libraries and Adult Services
The courses are conducted in local libraries and more volunteers are particularly needed in, Bar Hill and the St Neots area. Volunteers do not need any expert knowledge or experience as full training and support is provided.
Learners have access to support and guidance designed to enable them to access a wide range of on-line learning opportunities, including e-mail and the Internet.
EngAGE Project Co-ordinator Maggie Brown, said: “Since we started running these computer courses they have proved very popular and we are now looking for more volunteers to help us build on that success to continue to run these learning opportunities at various County Council Libraries around Cambridgeshire.”
Anyone interested in volunteering, or who wants more information on the EngAGE project, should contact their local Library or Maggie Brown on 07824 406 103 or e-mail: Maggie.brown@cambridgeshire.gov.uk
