How governors are involved

Parent Governor Representatives (PGRs) - A Voice for Parents

Each Local Authority in England must have Parents’ Representatives. They are parent governors elected by other parent governors to provide a voice for all parents in their area in local decision making.

Governor Advisory Group (GAG)

The Governor Advisory Group consists of nominated representatives of headteachers, teacher unions and governor associations, and elected governor representatives from nursery, primary, secondary, special and church school sectors. Primary and secondary governors have three representatives each on the group, with geographical constituencies.
