EOTAS (Education Other than at School) offers provision to students with medical needs and students who have presented schools with D2M (difficult to manage) behaviour in Cambridgeshire.
Provision is made in four geographical areas:
South Cambridge, Huntingdon, North East Fenland and Ely.
Each area delivers KS4 PRU (pupil referral unit) provision, individualised programmes to students aimed at facilitating return to mainstream school and medical needs provision.
The service also has a county wide on-line learning facility (ConnectED) and provides education for up to 50 young people with statements of educational need in two learner centres.
Referrals can only be accepted from mainstream schools or directly from the student assessment department of the county council (for students who have a statement of special educational need).
