BookBus visits - an SLS BookBus can make regular visits to your school, to encourage an awareness of books and their use, as well as refreshing the supply of fiction on loan at the school.
Step into Library Skills - these resource packs, designed for Reception, KS1 and KS2, support teachers and assistants working to develop children's information literacy skills in their school library.
SLS Snapshots - are publications, produced by SLS staff, that recommend books suitable for particular topic areas or for particular pupil groups.
Small Read - is a loan scheme that provides sets of fiction titles for use by small groups of readers to extend children's reading experience.
Storytelling - this activity is carried out in school by experienced SLS staff.
tBk Magazine - specifically targeted at 8-12 year olds, the magazine focuses on promoting great books to keen readers and is available from SLS.
Toddle In - is a service for pre-school playgroups and nurseries. A series of visits from our BookBus encourages and educates younger children in the use of books and libraries. There is a strong accent on family involvement between visits.
