The Area Special School Specification has been developed in collaboration between the County Council and its partners to help guide the further development of our current area special schools over the coming years. To ensure that the area special schools are well placed to meet future demands and also to provide the specification which the County Council will be able to plan and commission to meet future need.
We have ensured that all parties have had the opportunity to influence the development of the Specification by carrying out consultation events and collecting feedback via an online survey between November 2011 and February 2012.
This consultation is now complete. A Consultation Response Report is available below which summarises the feedback collected and addresses any further changes that will be made to the Area Special School Specification.
A final version of the Area Special School Specification will be available during Spring 2012.
