- accurate, neutral information on rights, roles and responsibilities of parents and carers
- information regarding children's rights
- information regarding national and local voluntary organisations that offer support for parents and carers of children with special educational needs
- support for parents and carers during school based and statutory assessment
- Parent Partnership Service literature available in community languages, in Braille or on audio cassette as and when requested
- information regarding independent mediation services
- training and information presentations for schools, governors, LAs and voluntary organisations
