Other sources of help

  • The class teacher, Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENCo) or the headteacher at the child's school
  • Pre-school services including Portage, Visual Impairment Service and Hearing Impairment Service local and national voluntary organisations
  • The health visitor/community nurse or doctor
  • Student Assessment Service (if the child is undergoing Statutory Assessment or has a Statement of Special Educational Needs).
