Applying for pre-16 school transport is easy. All you need to do is:
1. Make sure you're familiar with the eligibilty details, costs, and other information in these pages and the guidance documents to the right.
2. Go to the online application form for education transport, or print off the paper application form. Fill in one application for each child who needs transport.
3. Check you've included any supporting documentation or payment needed, and submit your application.
4. We will normally issue your pass within ten working days of our receiving the form, or before the start of the school term (whichever is the longer). If your application is unsuccessful we'll also let you know within ten working days.
Please note that if you are applying for a pass to start in September it will be sent to you during the school summer holidays.
5. If you qualify for free or subsidised transport on grounds of income, you will need to re-apply each year. If you qualify for other reasons, you will not need to re-apply as long as you live at the same address.
