New Cambourne Primary provision

In September 2012, pupil forecasts indicate that 240 Reception places will be required in Cambourne. This represents a shortfall of 60 places against the number currently available at Cambourne’s existing three primary schools.

The County Council published a statutory notice to make a prescribed alteration to expand the size of Hardwick Community Primary School by increasing the Published Admission Number from 45 to 105 from 1 September 2012.

The proposal is to be achieved by adding a second campus to the school. The site of the second campus is the temporary or 'Blue School' building in Eastgate, Cambourne. While the representation period has now expired, the notice is still available to download below.

On 13 December 2011, Cabinet approved this prescribed alteration. The additional places required will therefore be provided by Hardwick Community Primary School at its new second campus in Cambourne.
