Proposals for Primary School at Trumpington Meadows
Extras

The Public consultation to discuss the first primary school to be established as part of the development of the Cambridge Southern Fringe, around Trumpington, is now closed.

The Council plans to open the primary school, as part of the development of the Trumpington Meadows site, in September 2010 with 30 pupils aged 4 to 11. The school will then grow in size to cater for up to 360 pupils by 2013.

The school, as well as catering for the children of families moving into the new homes, will also provide a range of community facilities for the new and existing community.

As part of the planning process, the Council is required to invite organisations to bid to run new schools. The period for submission of bids has now ended, and the proposals are available on the right hand side to download.

The County Council’s Cabinet will decide whether or not to accept the proposal at its meeting on 2 December 2008.
