We want to help your child get the best start in life by providing them with all of the information that they need to make informed decisions about the future. We also try to give them greater belief in themselves, raise their aspirations and encourage them to make the most of their life.
If there are any barriers to them reaching their potential, such as drugs or being the victim of bullying, a personal adviser can help them to overcome these and refer them to other agencies where appropriate.
All personal advisers study for a qualification in guidance to GNVQ level 4.
They must also go through an enhanced level Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check which identifies those who are not allowed to work with young or vulnerable people.
Connexions provides a confidential service and cannot disclose what we have discussed with your child without their consent. However you are welcome to call us or drop into any one of our centres for more information about how we can help.
