The Connexions work experience team within the Work Related Learning Service organises work experience placements for around 8,000 students a year and provides services to young people, schools, colleges and employers.

This may be in the form of work experience for Year 10 and 11 students, longer term placements for young people who are in alternative provision, special education or identified as likely to benefit from this type of placement.

A team of work experience co-ordinators ensure that the work is appropriate for young people, that the place of work is safe and that all legal requirements are met by the employer.
